About the project

Kujawsko-Pomorski Plogging is a simple idea: we go outdoors and clean while moving. We combine sport, community and real environmental impact.

Project implemented as part of the preparations for the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26.

The World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 is an opportunity to achieve success not only in sport, but also in social, environmental and economic terms. As the host region, the Kujawsko-Pomorskie has developed a social impact and sustainability strategy aligned with the global World Athletics initiative “Athletics for a Better World” (ABW), which highlights athletics as a tool for creating positive change in the world.

Why are we doing this?

The World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy-Pomorze 26 creates an opportunity to leave something more than sports emotions behind: cleaner places and shared energy for action across the region.

Plogging combines movement – running, jogging or walking – with picking up litter encountered along the way. Pace and distance do not matter; the real impact on the environment does. Each participant receives gloves and a bag, and the clean-up takes place on designated routes at a safe pace.

Through Kujawsko-Pomorski Plogging we want not only to clean specific places, but also to show that even simple actions can build responsibility for shared space and integrate local communities.
